The emission testing procedure used to evaluate this product was the Hot 505 test as described in the Code of Federal Regulations Title 40 Part 86. The vehicle was first tested in stock configuration. CCE conducted a baseline test, this was a Hot 505 test. The SV device was then installed and a Hot 505 test was conducted. The results of these tests can be found in Appendix A, with a summary in Appendix B.
The fuel economy, mileage accumulation was conducted on the road to better simulate an inuse condition. The vehicle was driven on CEE's durability, mileage accumulation route which is an EPA approved route which contains both city and highway driving speeds. This route conforms to EPA's requirement for durability mileage accumulation as used in certification testing. The vehicle made three loops of the route, the driver recorded the start and end odometer and the amount of fuel needed to top off the gas tank. The SV device was then installed, the driver then drove three more loops of the route and recorded the start and end odometer and the amount of fuel needed to top off the fuel tank. The results can be found in Appendiz B.
The SV Technology device showed a reduction of hydrocarbon, carbon monoxide and oxides of nitrogen in the laboratory tests conducted at California Environmental Engineering. All the tests were run according to procedures outlined in the CFR Title 40 Part 86. These tests were all hot start tests which means the catalytic converter, 02 sensor, etc., were all at operating temperatures. This is the condition when the vehicle is operating at it's best (lowest emission readings). The baseline emissions wer already very low and with the SV device the emissions wer amazeingly lowered even more, on this Jeep.
The on road fuel economy was conducted by CEE on an EPA approved mileage route. The same driver drove all test cycles and was within four tenths of a mile. On this route this particular Jeep Wrangler showed a fourteen and one half percent (14.5%) increase in fuel mileage. This is very good for on the road conditions.
All test results can be found in Appendix B. It should be noted that these results were very good on this particular Jeep Wrangler. However this was a limited test on one vehicle and the results may vary depending on application. Different applications may or may not give the same result.
